01V96i Product Page Update

It was just over a month ago that we announced the release of our O1V96i mixing console here at the Trainers on the Road Blog.  We didn't have a lot of information regarding the latest addition to our 0 Series Lineup then but just recently the full updated product page was made available at Yamaha's website for your viewing pleasure.  Complete with pictures, block diagram, specs and full explanations of the console's features and functions; the website's information is sure to satisfy the most discerning of audio professionals.  In addition to the product page Yamaha also released the 01V96i Editor for use with the Studio Manager host application.  Below you'll find links to the product page as well as links to specific sections in case you'd rather just jump right into it.

New Studio Manager V2.3.3-4 for Mac OS X

The latest version of the Studio Manager V2 shell software for Mac OS X was released on Sunday by Yamaha Japan.  This version includes an uninstaller which has the ability to remove older versions of Studio Manager.  Minor bugs & errors have also been corrected as part of the version upgrade.  It hasn't been expressly stated and confirmed yet but according to the Lion Compatibility Chart at YamahaProAudio.com this version should play nicely with OS X Lion. You can download the latest version of the Studio Manager V2 host from Yamaha's Global Site.

New LS9 Firmware & Editor Released

Yamaha has just announced the release of their latest version of firmware (1.30) for the LS9, they've also introduced a new version of the LS9 Editor (2.1.4). Dugan-MY16 users will especially enjoy this update as it has given the LS9 the ability to move insert points to post fader in the signal path. This applies to input channels, mix channels, matrix channels, stereo channels, and the mono channel on the LS9. The recall safe feature has also been updated to compliment the new post fader inserts. The channel link function has been altered and a few bugs have been removed from the software as well. Below you'll find the links to the Yamaha website with the full description of changes & links to the downloads.
