Use the TAP TEMPO

How do I use the TAP TEMPO function from a User Defined Key? I assigned the function to one of the User Defined Keys but it didn’t work.

(PM5D, M7CL, and LS9) "SYNC" switch in the Effect Parameter screen has to be turned on.

(DM/0) "SYNC" switch in the Effect Parameter screen has to be turned on. Please input timing by tapping ENTER key on TAP TEMPO button in Effect Edit screen.
Note:
Please refer to the owner's manual for the relation between the delay time and Tempo/Note parameter. When you choose quarter note, the delay time will be set as exactly the same timing you tapped.

Shaun,

great timing on this post - i've had someone this week ask the following:

on a PM5D/-RH, if you assign Tap Tempo to a User Define Key, will the UDK flash according to the set tempo?
(i believe the M7CL and LS9 UDK's do flash with the tempo)
thanks!

Hi Mike:
That is correct, on PM5D the LED on the UDK will flash to give you the reference of the tap tempo.
Thanks
