We are back in NYC

We are now back in NYC and we started our DSR seminar today. It is very nice to see the amount of people that came out to our seminar thinking that is election day today.

We are looking forward for a great week here in NY and the restaurant list we will be visiting is just growing by the minute.

Last night we went out for some BBQ food. Do you know Daisy May's? Great BBQ food and great place to sit down and have a great meal.

I will be updating the restaurant's list for the week, keep an eye on it.

In Minneaplois this week.

We are in Minneapolis this week.
It was a beautiful day here today. Our load-in was smooth and easy. (Thank you, Jake, for your help!)

We went to a restaurant near here, "Chino Latino" for dinner. It was a very interesting space. Actually it was a huge restaurant and a lot of good food and drinks!
We ate:
TEMPURA SHRIMP LOLLIPOPS,
LAMMA ISLAND SALTY SQUID,
PHILIPPINE PAELLA,
CUBAN PORK ROAST CRISIS,
THE THREE WAY: ANY 3 SIDES
(CRISPY FRIED PLANTAINS,
SESAME PAKE NOODLES,
FRIED RICE WITH GUACAMOLE),
CHOCOLATE FLANDANGO

All was interestingly good food. If you feel "Fried rice with Guacamole" sounds odd, you need to try it. You will know what the "Fried rice with Guacamole" tastes like.

kaiseki-SAKURA

We ate a dinner at the restaurant on Monday. The restaurant's chef, Daisuke Izutsu, is my wife's cousin.
He did a great job, actually. It was absolutely delicious.

When you visit Toronto, please try real Japanese Kaiseki cuisine there. I recommend to order one of his "Omakase" course. For more detail of the Kaiseki cuisine and their menu, please visit their web-site. The address of the restaurant is the following. It is at the corner of Church St. and Wellesely St..
556 Church Street, Toronto, ON M4Y 2E3

Recently, he was nominated for the "9 of Dine Chefs of Distinction Awards" in Gourmet Food & Wine Expo as one of nine best chefs in Toronto. (NOW Magazine)

Sushi in Detroit

We took Tim Vear of Shure out for a sushi dinner at Musashi, partly as a thank you for the hospitality he showed us in Chicago, and partly because we just plain wanted to. The restaurant was excellent, from the decor to the food and we had a great time eating and talking music and audio and other things. A little longer drive than we expected, but it was well worth it. Funny thing was, we are staying at the Westin Detroit in the airport (yep, IN the airport, attached to the McNamara Terminal) and the restaurant was located in.........................another Westin!! Sorry for the poor quality; all I had was the camera in my phone.

Best Bar-B-Que in Nashville!?

We went to Jack's Bar-B-Que for lunch. It was very good.
Any other recommendations?
